Thomas Gunillasson says

"Conductr’s interface is pure genius. It’s so clear, fast and customizable that it has become my main Ableton controller for live processing."

Music has been around Thomas since day one. After playing keyboards and banging cans as a little kid he picked up the guitar at age 9. Growing up in the icey, dark northern city of Kiruna he soon joined a couple of local bands playing Heavy Metal and Hard Rock, developing his chops with Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai as No1 heroes. In 1987 he became influenced by guitar players like Allan Holdsworth, Mike Stern, John Scofield, John McLaughlin and started studying jazz at the Music School in Kiruna before attending music studies at different schools around Sweden. In 1994 Thomas went to study at Ingesund Music College and got his BM degree in 1998.While studying at Ingesund he performed extensively in different constellations and took private lessons with Göran Klinghagen, Hilmar Jensson and Charlie Malmberg to name a few. After graduating from Ingesund Thomas went to Göteborg in 1998 where he performed with various musicians as a freelance guitar player for seven years.

Since 2005 Thomas has been living in Västerås where he’s teaching, composing and recording music when not on tour. Thomas has performed and recorded in a wide variety of settings and appeared on many records with bands such as Militanta Jazzmusiker, Zara Tellander, Mess, How, Lindha Kallerdahl, Karin Inde and Thymeshift including 2 as a leader or co-leader. Since 2011 Thomas has been a co-leading fierce quartet Thymeshift with drummer Johan Björklund. The group has toured around Europe and Scandinavia for the last couple of years and will release their debut album in 2015 on the swedish BoogiePost Recordings label. He also leads the trio Les Pickadoles consisting of legendary drummer Morgan Ågren and bass heavyweight Gustaf Hielm.

In addition to this Thomas is leading workshops and developing methods for using new technology in music creation.
